Learn why a poultry farmer in Germany chose Once lights

Meet Maximilian, a broiler farmer in Vechta, Germany.  Maximilian chose Once Tulex HO Junglite in 2021, when his barn needed new lighting. Watch the video above and or read the Q&A below to learn more about his experience.

Question: Why did you choose Once Lights?

I knew I didn't want standard warm white light. I wanted something more innovative! I studied the effects of lighting on poultry and wrote my thesis on this topic in school. Lighting is important for the growth of broilers.

Question: What product did you choose?

I selected the Tulex HO Junglite. I wanted a light that could do more than simply dim. With Junglite I had an entire light solution that could impact the flock.

Question: What advantages have you seen with your flocks since installing the new lighting?

I have seen my flock maintain healthy vitals while increasing weight and remaining mobile in the barn. When the lighting recipe is applied (dim to blue/green) the chickens begin to calm down. Overall this lighting solution helps promote stress-free and relaxed chickens.

Question: Would you recommend this solution to others?

Absolutely! I have shared this with other farmers, and will be putting in my new buildings that are coming soon.
