From the Field: Ramiro Robles presents at poultry school

At ONCE by Signify, we believe that dynamic lighting is more than just a necessity in poultry production—it’s a powerful tool that can support bird health, enhance welfare, and boost productivity. That belief was at the center of a recent webinar we co-hosted with our partners at Poultry School, where Latin America Commercial Leader Ramiro Robles took center stage.

The event, titled “How Specialized LED Lighting Can Improve Poultry Health and Productivity,” was held on May 15, 2025, and brought together poultry professionals from across the Americas for a deep dive into the science and impact of precision lighting.

A Look Inside the Webinar

Ramiro shared practical, science-backed insights on how specialized LED lighting systems, like those developed by ONCE, are helping producers create more controlled, welfare-focused environments for their birds. Topics included:

  • The biological role of light in poultry behavior and development
  • Key lighting factors like spectrum, intensity, photoperiod, and dimming
  • Field results from farms using ONCE technology
  • How optimized lighting can support immune function, reduce stress, and encourage feed intake during critical growth phases

What stood out most was the enthusiastic feedback and curiosity from attendees. Many producers are eager to move beyond one-size-fits-all lighting and start using light as a targeted management tool tailored to flock needs and production goals.

At ONCE, we’re proud to partner with producers across Latin America and around the world who are embracing innovation to improve both performance and welfare.

If you missed the webinar but want to learn more about how LED lighting can help you raise healthier, more productive birds, our team is ready to support you with tailored solutions and trusted expertise.
