What is a light plan?

Light plans are created with dedicated software that can model the light output and effect, so that our customers can evaluate the effect of the lighting in their barn. The light plan will give insights on the achieved lighting levels (lux levels), light distribution and uniformity. With 3D view and isotopic view, the evaluation of the light levels can be made visible.

Comparing light plans

 

Lighting intensity; lux levels give insights on the maximum and minimum light levels. Requirement for lighting intensity differs per type of animal.

Distribution of light; the lighting uniformity tells you how well the lighting is spread out in the barn, and higher uniformity will lead to a better distribution of animals in the farm.

Regulation compliance; in some cases lighting is regulated by standards, to which the farmer needs to comply to in relation to animal welfare.

Energy consumption; as the light plan will calculate the required luminaires, it also provides insights on the expected energy consumption of the lighting.
