Did you know that when light intensity is measured in "lux", it is only relevant to people but not animals? Each animal species perceives light differently due to differences in their visual systems. In fact, there is a "chicken lux", a "pig lux", a "turkey lux", etc. So far, scientists have worked out the "chicken lux" best, and that's why we advocate the use of "clux" or "gallilux" used for chickens instead of lux!
