At ONCE, a Signify brand, we believe lighting does more than illuminate—it sets the stage for animal welfare, productivity, and sustainability. We’re honored to have supported the Open Farm Day at the Beringmeier family’s new laying hen barn in Germany, an inspiring example of how thoughtful design and cutting-edge technology can create a better environment for birds and farmers alike.
Recently unveiled by Pauline Beringmeier at the event, the Beringmeiers’ state-of-the-art facility showcases the power of purpose-built agricultural lighting. The barn features over 60 of our NatureDynamics Dome luminaires, carefully installed to ensure uniform, flicker-free lighting across all compartments and tiers.
The NatureDynamics system allows for precise control of light spectrum and intensity, including red and blue wavelengths known to influence laying patterns, reduce stress, and promote natural behavior.
From day one, the flock benefits from an environment that feels natural, comfortable, and safe, which contributes to better welfare outcomes and optimized performance. And because NatureDynamics is scalable and customizable, it’s a solution built to grow with the needs of modern poultry operations.
Congratulations to the Beringmeier family and all partners involved in this forward-thinking project.
