At ONCE by Signify, we’re always happy to share the science behind lighting and how it can help you. And we found such an opportunity at PEAK 2024, the premier U.S. industry event 100 percent focused on poultry, held April 17-19 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. We hope more than a few of you were able to attend yourselves. But we’ve provided a quick recap for those who couldn’t make it.
Hear from Dr. Aaron Stephan below on his key take-aways from PEAK:
From MPF to PEAK: The origins of PEAK go back 53 years to 1971 when the Midwest Poultry Federation (MPF) was founded and held its first convention in Minneapolis in 1972. MPF’s goal was to host an annual convention emphasizing on-farm poultry production and offer attendees cutting-edge information via exhibits and technical workshops. In 2022, the MPF Board rebranded its convention name to PEAK, which stands for Profitability, Experience, Advancement and Knowledge, with a promise to attendees to always provide these four keys to unlocking business success.
All after-expenses revenue generated by PEAK and other events MPF holds throughout the year is donated to various poultry organizations for research and educational activities as well as back to MPF’s member organizations.
In Summary: PEAK is the place to be for reaching poultry producers and high quality, decision-makers from all segments of the poultry industry - egg layer, broiler, turkey, game bird and organic/specialty poultry production. Our team had such a great time being among the many industry presenters and enjoyed speaking with the countless people, both new connections and old friends. We valued the opportunity to have up-close-and-personal discussions about our lighting solutions and ongoing research all designed to promote animal welfare, increase productivity, and reduce energy consumption.
PEAK is also the place for taking advantage of multiple education tracks covering turkey, broiler, pullet/egg player, feed manufacturing and technology, and business and leadership, plus Ted Talks. If you missed our Ted Talk on “Gradient Feed Line Lighting for Broilers and Turkeys” on Thursday, April 18, we are happy to connect with and share more! Reach out at once.info@signify.com
